HELLO FRIEND

HOUSE INFO:
143 Prospect Street Kingston, NY 12401

- snake key is for front door. the back doors do not have keys- they have to be locked from the inside using manual locks. small key is for the driveway gate masterlock.
- beware of offsides parking!
we have a driveway with room for multiple cars and a lot in the back off Furnace street. please keep the gate locked.

THANK YOU FOR WATCHING OUR DOGS <3<3<3<3<3!!! you are more than welcome to explore… but PLEASE BEWARE OF BOOBY TRAPS! there are a lot of small screws/tools/parts/paints on the floors. we blocked off some of the upstairs rooms because the doorknobs aren’t working and we don’t want the dogs to accidentally trap themselves. right now we only want the dogs to have access to the first floor and the upstairs bedroom (first room at the top of the stairs.) all plumbing works so feel free to use the bathroom and sinks! were going to leave the living room fan on with most of the windows cracked incase its hot.

BOTH DOGS
- two meals a day: we do meals roughly between 8-10am and again from 6-8pm but they will adjust to your schedules! they can be left alone for up to 8 hours but would love to hang out with you any time.
- keep water available at all times and do a quick rinse of the bowl if it gets gross
- let them in the yard outside at least 3 times a day. once before meals and at least once in between. they would loooove to chill in the yard for extended periods or go outside frequently if you want to let them.
- while in the yard, please make sure they actually pee. you can usher them into the yard and say “go pee, go potty” if they’re loitering (which may happen on rainy days.) don’t worry about scooping poop.
- treats any time! all dog supplies are on the first cabinet in the kitchen, and baby carrots in the fridge. keep in mind that ripley is 70lbs and Picard is 17lbs. it is very easy to overfeed Picard if you’re matching Ripleys speed and appetite, so make sure to give Picard little pieces.
- Each dog can have up to one rawhide per day (in bags labeled with their names) or one peanut butter lick mat (in the freezer, green for ripley grey for picard) rawhide and lick mats are a great long lasting snack that they can enjoy unsupervised. you can leave them on your way out after their mid day pee. If you don’t make it to the house mid day you can give these treats at any other time.
- we don’t have problems with feeding but if you have any issues with food stealing you can serve the dogs in separate rooms. if a dog is refusing to eat please stash their food in an elevated area and try again later.
- ABSOLUTELY NO: Garlic, onions, chocolate or grapes in ANY quantity! these can be deadly for dogs! Even a bit of garlic in a sauce can give cause diarrhea so PLEASE don’t feed table scraps. some human foods are okay: they like carrots, iceberg lettuce, apples, nut butters, plain rice. unseasoned meats, plain yogurt, and plain cheese are high quality treats that they can have in small amounts :)

PICARD
- 1/3 cup food morning, 1/3 cup food night (food is in white Tupperware on little shelf, the scoop is exactly 1/3 cup) use the grey maze bowl.
-picard is shy but she LOVES to cuddle and be held. feel free to use aggressive affection to pet her if she’s being power meek. shell usually jump right into your arms if you gesture to pick her up. if you squat down, open your arms and say “let me hold you” she might come in for a hug!
- PLEASE COVER OR ELEVATE LOW TRASH CANS! picard has a nasty bloodlust and will eat ANYTHING with body fluid on it. tissues/tampons/pads/toilet paper/qtips/condoms/dirty underwear and other cottony/body products can block her intestines and kill her :(

RIPLEY
- 1.5 cups food morning, 1.5 cups food night. food is in Tupperware with black lid on living room floor. the cup inside is marked to 1 1/2 cup. use black maze bowl.
- Ripley LOVES to play. shell be your best friend if you throw a ball for her. we would love if you could find time at least once a day to get her running for a few minutes. there’s a huge bucket of tennis balls and a thrower in the backyard. she usually stops releasing the ball when she gets too tired or overheated so you’ll know when she’s done. if she’s too insistent, hold up a hand and say “no” “all done” or “back up” loud and firm until she backs away.
- before leaving the house, please seal dog food containers, elevate anything edible and anything that smells like food including used napkins or food wrappers. Ripley is an extremely adept forager and will mission impossible almost anything that smells tasty.
