Hi thank you so much for looking after our dogs!

-we have a dog sitter coming Tuesday evening, so we just need you to let our dogs into the yard to pee then feed them on Tuesday morning. between 8am-10am is in our normal range but that’s flexible.

- the dogs are all bark no bite- they’re going to be very loud when you unlock the door. they are allowed to roam the house, but we put them behind a baby gate in the living room to keep them from overwhelming you when you arrive. if you are nervous at all take all the time you need before letting them out of the baby gate. saying nice things and petting them will help them calm down.

- make sure the outside gate is closed, and let the dogs into the yard. they will likely run right in and get to business, but if there’s rain or they’re being obstinate it helps to point to the yard and say “go pee” or “go potty” while ushering them into the yard. ripley can be lead by the collar and Picard can be placed directly in the yard if you’re comfortable picking her up.

-the immediate neighbor has a dog phobia, she requested that someone always be with the dogs when they are outside. you don’t need to go into the yard but please at least stay on the porch while they’re outside. the neighbor is likely going to be at work but if she is around for some reason please try to keep the dogs from approaching her. if they bark tell them “be quiet” or “its okay.” to calm them.

- don’t let them back in until they pee. (they do not need to poop) if they do poop you can leave it in the yard and well clean it when we get back.

PICARD
-all food is in the living room behind the baby gate. picards food is in the white Tupperware on bookshelf. she gets one scoop, use the grey maze bowl.

RIPLEY
- food is in the big Tupperware with black lid on living room floor. she gets 1 1/2 cup, the scoop inside is marked at the 1 1/2 cup line. use the black maze bowl by the plant shelf.

-they’re usually pretty agreeable but if they’re crowding you while you’re organizing food you can tell them to “sit” and “stay” until the food is ready on the ground. keep telling them to “stay”, and when you’re ready for them to eat say “okay!” and they will go to their bowls.

-please refill the shared water bowl by the plant shelf if its empty.

-thats it! you can put the dogs back in the baby gate, lock the door, and put the key back in the lock box so our dog sitter can get in.

THANK YOUUUUU!!!!
